NATIONAL CURRICULUM LEARNING

KS1, KS2, KS3 & KS4

English

English reflects the importance of spoken language in pupils’ development across the whole curriculum – cognitively, socially and linguistically. Spoken language underpins the development of reading and writing.

During sessions this will be the main focus, as well as but not limited to, the use of grammar, spelling, phonics and reading.

Maths

Maths sessions are produced to give the learner the confidence and ability to overcome challenges and master problem solving.

Our tutors aim to help our children become fluent in the fundamentals of mathematics, reason mathematically following a line of enquiry, conjecturing relationships and generalisations, and developing an argument … using mathematical language. Finally, they will be able to solve problems by applying their mathematical knowledge to a variety of routine and non-routine problems with increasing sophistication.
